Lecture given at the Arts & Letters Club of Toronto on Mad Sweeney, a 7th century character from Ireland who was cursed and took to the air like a bird and went into myth as a Birdman. She discussed her source: Sweeney Astray a Version from the old Irish by Seamus Heaney and related all this to her own poetry on February 15th, 2011.

She performed poetry by a number of Irish poets and some of her own poetry at Hot-Sauced Words Poetry gathering at the Black Swan pub in Toronto, on March 17th,  2011.

Her paper on Mad Sweeney and Sweeney Astray was given at the Annual Conference of the Canadian Association for Irish Studies at Concordia University in Montreal in July 2011.

She gave a reading of her poetry at the Art Bar Poetry Series in Toronto on July 26th, 2011.

She gave a workshop on Reading Your Work in Public at the Writers’ Community of Durham Region In October 2011.
