Backwoods’ Players production of “The War Brides” which was presented at the Brougham Community Hall as well as the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 606, in 2007, in which Lucy Brennan played the part of an older woman remembering her days as a young war bride (played by Rebecca MacIntosh) dancing with her new husband (played by Jeff Martin).
The writers wove stories from actual local war brides into vignettes and flashback scenes.
